5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE In 2024
1. Loser: Apollo Crews
Is there a less impactful member of the main roster right now than Apollo Crews? It's sad to say, as he's extremely talented, but if he weren't even in the company right now, most people wouldn't even notice.
Despite his impressive athleticism, Crews has struggled for the majority of his WWE career. His pushes ebb and flow, where he's had some years winning Intercontinental and United States Championships, and other years—like this one—where he has nothing to show for it whatsoever and it's a surprise he's survived the latest rounds of being released.
At this time of publication, Crews has wrestled 27 matches in 2024. He's only won 9 of those. All but two of them were dark matches (meaning they don't air, ever, and effectively don't count). Those two he did score on television were against Giovanni Vinci, of all people. Every single other win was also either against Vinci, or equally low-tier talent in Angel, Berto, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
It's sad that the highest point of his career in 2024 was when he was randomly paired up with Baron Corbin for a few weeks in a team that gained no ground, as after Corbin's release, Crews has been largely unseen.
