5 Fights To Make After UFC 247
1. Jon Jones Vs. Dominick Reyes
Prior to facing Dominick Reyes at UFC 247, there was plenty of talk about potential next opponents for Jon Jones. Many believed that he would destroy Reyes and move up to heavyweight to face Stipe Miocic or compete against middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, in a super-fight. However, those plans will need to take a backseat for the moment as we should definitely see a rematch between him and Reyes.
Other than one judge who had the fight 49-46 to Jones - which is a scorecard that no-one understands - the fight was extremely close and could've quite easily gone to Reyes. We're not quite sure if it was the title challenger's tenacity and impressive boxing combinations or if we're watching the decline of Jones after a decade of crushing opponents in the light-heavyweight division, but we need to see if Reyes performance was a one-and-done moment or if he truly got screwed over by some bad judging.
Also, if they do plan on making this match-up, we truly hope that the UFC take it to state that at least he's some competent judges available.
