5 Game-Changing Ideas WWE Is Considering For The Network

We've been asked what we want to see on the WWE Network, but what options did they offer us?

WWE has claimed for years that they listen to their fans, but more often than not, what we've had to say has fallen on deaf ears. However, a survey has recently been sent out to Network subscribers, asking what type of shows we would like to see, indicating that the company may finally be taking note of our opinions.

Among the ideas that WWE has pitched, there's a wide choice of reality-style programmes, where we can see the inside of WWE superstar's houses, a game show where the winner would secure a job with the company, and a series about the wrestlers' lives on the road.

WWE have also pitched some very interesting in-ring concepts to those who took the survey. These new ideas could mean big things for the Network - and they could mean a lot for wrestling fans too.

5. New Tournaments

Following their recent successes, WWE has expressed an interest in broadcasting more tournament-style wrestling. Some would be regional bouts but other ideas include WWE vs. NXT, and a tag team tournament.

Televised regional tournaments would be a good way for WWE to scout talent, seeing which wrestlers can get crowd reactions and who feels comfortable working in front of cameras.

As for WWE vs. NXT, the tournament could be used to kick-start feuds for the developmental performers who are on the verge of being called up to the main roster. A Raw superstar might attack a rookie after suffering an embarrassing loss, or an NXT competitor could start bragging about getting the victory over a top wrestler. There are many possibilities to start new rivalries if the right participants are picked to compete.

A tag team tournament would boost a division that falls by the wayside on the main roster. WWE often recycles the same tag match over and over, a recent example being The Usos vs. The New Day. There isn't enough cool-down time between those matches to make us excited for the next one. A tournament would be a great way to showcase how talented the other teams in WWE are.
