As this year’s Royal Rumble PPV edges ever closer, last night’s episode of WWE Raw saw several new names announce their participation in their respective Royal Rumble matches.

Joining Nia Jax in the women’s Royal Rumble is Charlotte Flair, with the Queen looking to cement herself a Women’s Championship bout at WrestleMania 37. Shayna Baszler last week seemed to indicate her own entry into the Rumble match, although WWE has yet to officially acknowledge the former NXT Women’s Champion as being involved in the bout at this stage.

On the men’s side of things, last night saw Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Riddle and Elias throw their hat into the ring as entrants in the men’s Royal Rumble match. This foursome join the previously announced Daniel Bryan and Bobby Lashley in that 30-man contest.

Elsewhere, no other matches have been formally announced for the Royal Rumble PPV right now, although Bill Goldberg made his shock WWE return last night to to lay down the gauntlet and challenge for Drew McIntyre’s WWE Championship at the January 31 event. The Scottish Psychopath didn't have chance to accept this challenge before Raw went off the air, but one would imagine it's a no-brainer that McIntyre vs. Goldberg is 'on'.
