5 Most Dangerous Moms In UFC History

1. Michelle "The Karate Hottie" Waterson

Michelle Waterson, aka "The Karate Hottie," is a former model who decided to try her hand at mixed martial arts in 2007. This American Freestyle Karate black belt has a nasty standup game and has also become an excellent grappler in recent years.

The Aurora, Colorado native is a former Invicta FC Atomweight Champion, who made her UFC debut in 2015. Since the UFC doesn't have an atomweight division, Waterson competes at strawweight.

She has faced some pretty stiff competition thus far in the UFC and still has a solid 5-3 record with the promotion that includes wins over Felice Herrig, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, and Paige VanZant.

On 18 March 2011, Waterson became a mother, having given birth to her daughter, Araya. Since that time the 33-year-old has been open about the struggles that come with being both a fighter and a parent. The documentary Fight Mom follows Waterson and offers an in-depth look at the hardships that come with balancing each of her roles.

The MMA star has been vocal about her desire to become the first mother to hold a UFC title. Despite her recent loss to Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Waterson is still the number eight strawweight in the world. Moreover, if the UFC ever decided to launch an atomweight division, she would immediately become a title contender.

Michelle Waterson remains the torch-bearer for moms in MMA and is one of the UFC's biggest stars.
