5 Potential Ironmen For WWE Royal Rumble 2021
2. Ricochet
Ricochet has been saddled with repetitive, nonsense feuds for far too long now. He was stuck with The Hurt Business for a spell, as the group beat him down while attempting to get the high-flyer to join their stable. Then, he was stuck with Retribution, as they tried to beat Ricochet into allying with their group (much less successfully).
The One And Only has been on the main roster for almost two years and, despite a WWE title match with Brock Lesnar, he's never been taken seriously. That should change at this year's Rumble. Ricochet is an ideal candidate to kick off the Rumble match, and if he makes it to the business end of the bout with some big eliminations, he can ride that wave far away from the dull stories he's had to deal with in recent months.
Think Santino Marella and Kofi Kingston in the 2012 and 2019 Elimination Chambers, respectively. Think Santino again, as well as Rusev and Dean Ambrose in Royal Rumble matches gone by. Ricochet could be that next person to grab the crowd's attention and create a buzz at the final bell. Just pray he goes the way of Kingston rather than Rusev.
