5 Things That Could Be Tony Khan’s HUGE Announcement On AEW Dynamite

2. Keith Lee Debuts?

Tony Khan doesn’t just understand that contrasts inform chemistry; he has a prescient gift with which he pairs performers together, in teams and as opponents, casting a spell magic no others could see.

Putting Christian Cage and Jungle Boy together was a masterstroke, to use just one example; Christian’s scathing deadpan has rubbed off on his protege who, once an earnest if dry promo, now knows his way around a threatening, cocksure soundbite.

Isiah Kassidy has not been selected as the mystery debutant’s opponent at random. He doubles as a clue to solve the puzzle. What is his “thing” with which he can flatter an opponent that is obviously going to hammer him in a dominant showcase performance?

Kassidy squeals just before taking a massive bump. It’s a small, effective touch that illuminates just how far up he gets, how much the impact looks like it must suck sh*t to absorb.

How awesome would Keith Lee’s Spirit Bomb look with a man of Kassidy’s leaping ability and vocal selling bouncing about five feet in the air after taking the flat back?

Dave Meltzer has reported that Lee is all but bound to AEW, and if he can rediscover his 2017 form, he will be an immensely valuable asset. He went three minutes with Roman Reigns at Survivor Series 2019, and that match-within-a-match was so electrifying that a lot of people fan-cast him into the WrestleMania main event.

This is it.
