5. Empty Calories Match Delivers What It Promises

If you were expecting a scientific classic between Miz & Maryse and Edge & Beth Phoenix, you haven’t been paying attention to WWE. However, just because we got a lot of smoke and mirrors doesn’t mean we got something undesirable.

The mixed tag match between married couples was surprisingly entertaining, with a shocking amount of action involving all four competitors. Beth Phoenix mixed it up with Miz quite a bit, powerbombing him at one point. But Maryse also nailed a top rope hurricanrana on Edge, to everyone’s surprise.

The “It Couple” got the upper hand thanks to Maryse’s loaded purse, but it wasn’t enough for them, as Edge eventually kicked out of a Skull-Crushing Finale, giving way to a double team spear from Edge and Phoenix on Miz, and then the “Grit Couple” nailed a double Glam Slam on both heels for the three-count.
