5 Ups & 10 Downs From WWE Royal Rumble 2022

3. Heavyweight Slugfest

Bobby Lashley Brock Lesnar

Yes, we gave a “down” earlier to the WWE Championship match for Bobby Lashley having to sell for what seemed like an eternity due to the interference. But we also have to give kudos to Lashley and Brock Lesnar for putting in yeoman’s work in their hard-hitting match.

Brock nailed a bunch of German suplexes, but Lashley also hit a couple of his own, as well as a couple spears. The match had a big fight feel, and both men did their part to deliver with this first-time contest between the two.

It’s a shame that the match was so brief and had such a screwy finish, which is why it’s low on this list, but we’ll still give some positive marks for what we got.
