5 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2018

1. Impact Wins Big

The ending to Bound For Glory was controversial, but the main event itself was the icing on the cake of a standout show.

Johnny Impact and Austin Aries put in one hell of a shift, and showed exactly what this new era of Impact has to offer. It wasn't as much of a high-flying match as you may have expected, though. Both are known for their daredevil abilities, especially Johnny, but they can adapt to other styles when the time calls for it. One of those times was indeed this match.

It was a fairytale ending with Impact walking out as champion. He's someone management should've capitalised on as soon as he debuted in the company. Despite having a good bit of success in WWE, the 'Shaman of Sexy' just wasn't suited to the WWE style - he just screams indies when you watch him wrestle. Since his arrival, Johnny Impact has been a household name throughout his entire tenure. It's actually slightly shocking he didn't receive the World Championship - or even the X Division Championship for that matter - any sooner.

Nonetheless, the moment was worth the wait.
