5 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (Jun 14)
ECW stars defeated, Jessicka Havok back in action, new Slammiversary match announced, and more.
We're now less than a month away from Impact Wrestling's next pay-per-view, Slammiversary, which is set for 7 July in Dallas, Texas. Following this week's episode of Impact, four matches have been made official, three of those being for championships. With a good chunk of the card set, it's resulted in a decent episode this week - for the bulk of the show at least.
While Michael Elgin and Willie Mack collided in the main event of the night, one of the other major takeaways we have to mention is the fact that the plethora of former ECW stars that have been brought in recently actually lost matches this week. Rob Van Dam and Sabu lost to The North following the interference from Moose, while Killer Kross choked out The Sandman to win their match. Who knew that those guys are actually capable of losing?
Elsewhere, Jessicka Havok made her in-ring return after rejoining the roster last week, Tessa Blanchard once again took a stand against Sami Callihan and oVe for their opinions towards the Knockouts division, Taya Valkyrie found the next challenger for her Knockouts Championship. Spoiler - it's not Rosemary.
Aside from a few minor bumps along the road, this was a really enjoyable episode. Let's get into it...
