5 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (Mar 15)
Another week, another excuse from Johnny Impact.
For all this week's episode of Impact's terrible stuff, the night also had some extremely good moments. Case in point: the scheduled main event between Johnny Impact and Brian Cage.
Everything about the show-closing segment was picture-perfect. The apparent new alliance between Impact and Killer Kross is something that could very well cause destruction for everyone else on the roster. In the last few weeks, the champion has played his character to absolute perfection, being slightly oblivious regarding Cage's title shot. His rivalry with The Machine is quite possibly one of the best things going in Impact at the moment - please don't ruin this.
Elsewhere on the night, oVe faced Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and Tommy Dreamer in an excellent contest to kickstart the night, adding heat to their X Division Championship match next week. Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards made their official tag team debut, disposing of The Desi Hit Squad after Eli allowed Eddie to use the kendo stick. Gail Kim also got physical this week for the first time in a while, taking out Tessa Blanchard as she tried to ambush the timekeeper.
All in all, it was a decent episode of Impact, something that hasn't really been the case for a few weeks. We can only ask they keep this sort of thing up in the weeks that follow. Let's get to it...
