Truth be told, the street fight between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 41 was always going to be difficult to top. And while both wrestlers fell short with Saturday’s steel cage match, they deserve some praise.

McIntyre and Priest have been battering each other for the past couple of months now, and they effectively settled things in the cage, with both men swinging for the fences from the jump. They swiped finishers, threw each other into the cage repeatedly, and waffled the other with a steel chair.

In the end, it was Priest dodging the same chair-assisted Claymore that vanquished him at 'Mania and using a conchairto to finally put McIntyre down for good. Damian even got to go the Bruno Sammartino route and slowly walk out of the cage for the win rather than pinning his opponent or rapidly escaping. Drew truly was defeated here.

Normally, there would be some caveats to issue, but McIntyre reportedly is due some time off due to injuries, so this was the right call to write him off for a spell.
