5 Ups & 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 2)

4. A Tag Team Snoozefest

Raw's women didn't have a good night. The Susan G. Comen segment was heartening, and there were a couple of strong individual performances peppered throughout the show, but their biggest contributions didn't deliver.

With the main title program out of the way, Bayley and Sasha Banks teamed to face Alicia Fox and Emma later in the evening. This quartet should be skilled enough to produce a memorable bout, but it fell flat, with both teams struggling to inject any drama into what quickly became an overlong plodder.

Emma is underrated, but hasn't delivered since returning, while Fox is wildly inconsistent. Neither was on top form last night, with their heat segment particularly tiresome. It produced a lifeless hot tag from Bayley, which was enough to prompt Emma to say "screw this" and walk out on her partner, leaving her to take the pinfall.

There was no need for the 13-minute runtime, but this could've been mitigated had the performers not sleepwalked their way through the bout. It stunk, and if you didn't catch Raw, you'll miss absolutely nothing by skipping this match and watching the 2:51 YouTube clip instead.
