5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Dec 3)
4. Charlotte Continues Hinting At Heel Turn
It's a good thing that Becky Lynch is back in the WWE Divas Title picture. The feud between Paige and Charlotte was fine, but Lynch was ominous by her disappearance. All of a sudden, Becky went from being by Charlotte's side all the time to never being around. There really needed to be some explanation for that, and it seems like the creative team are trying to bridge the gap. On Monday Night Raw, Charlotte feigned injury to beat her friend. Then, on Smackdown, she ended up costing Becky a match against Brie Bella. After being hit by an accidental elbow by the Bella Twin, Charlotte entered the ring and caused Lynch to lose by disqualification. Afterwards, Charlotte tried to get Becky to link hands, but the Irish Diva was conflicted. There are several ways WWE could go with that, which is a good thing. The obvious answer right now appears to be turning Charlotte heel. She's not really over in a huge way as a babyface, and is overshadowed by Ric Flair regularly. Turning her heel could be just the ticket. Alternatively, Becky Lynch could be the one to go heel, aligning herself with Paige down the line. The fact there are multiple paths open to creative is a very notable positive.
