5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Oct 8)
4. The New Day's Momentum Continues
It's been said before, but it's worth repeating, The New Day are one of the most entertaining acts on WWE television at the moment. If Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E continue to be booked as they were on Smackdown, they should have no worries about their position on cards in the near future. On Thursday's show, it was Big E who was given time to shine. Before his match opposite Dolph Ziggler, Big E and his cohorts cut another sterling promo. Referencing other stables who haven't had quite the impact they have (in their opinion), such as the nWo and even The Dungeon Of Doom, the segment was very well received. Absolutely every time they're on screen, The New Day display energy that feeds through the screen towards fans. The group are over, which is something cool to say in an era when many struggle to maintain fan interest over an extended period of time. Big plus points coming out of Smackdown are that Big E was given the win over Dolph, and the ongoing feud between The New Day and The Dudley Boyz continued ticking over in the background.
