5 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Extreme Rules 2015

2. Naomi Fleshes Out Heel Role

Two weeks ago, Naomi gave fans a rare heel turn with a reason and a purpose, becoming frustrated that she wasn€™t awarded a Divas Championship match despite pinning the champ twice in tag team action. Her response was to attack the number one contender Paige and put her on the shelf and rhetorically ask whether €œwins or losses mean anything€ anymore. Sunday, Naomi continued developing her new persona, changing her entire entrance €“ the music, the attire and the attitude. During the match, she gloated and preened and used fewer crowd-pleasing moves. She has a legit reason for turning heel and has shown more personality in the last two weeks than she had in the previous two years. It€™s a good start for her. Contrast this with the Bella Twins€™ confusing €œtweener€ act, where they act like heels for months, suddenly act like faces for a week for no reason, then cheat to win. Hopefully Naomi will be rewarded for her work with gold at Payback.
