5 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE TLC 2020

2. Fiend Loses, Again

Just a quick reminder that The Fiend is supposedly a near-indestructible villain who was once described as on-par with The Undertaker for mythical powers and resilience.

With that said, Fiend lost another match Sunday night, meaning he’s now lost three of his last six matches (in that persona), including a 3-minute match to Goldberg and a triple threat where he lost the Universal Championship after a weeklong reign.

This time, Fiend lost to Randy Orton in a hastily thrown-together Firefly Inferno match, a stipulation that guaranteed a screwy finish, presumably to “protect” Fiend. But the bottom line here is that Fiend is supposedly this horror movie villain, but he keeps losing when it’s actually time to perform.

Worse, the match itself was comically bad, with Fiend trying to use a pickaxe on Orton, then sitting Randy in a gasoline-soaked rocking chair and lighting a trail of gas, only for the Viper to dive out of harm’s way at the last minute.

Nevermind the ending, which gets its own “down” next…
