Watching New Day show some cracks during the past couple weeks has been interesting, in that you had to wonder in which direction WWE would go with Xavier Woods’ worried looks. Was he being brainwashed to join the Wyatt Family?

It turns out that he might simply be afraid of the Wyatts, or just feels that his New Day teammates don’t take them seriously enough to go into battle alongside them. Woods called them out Monday, saying that it’s been all fun and games so far, but the Wyatts represent a bigger threat than they’ve ever faced, and he doesn’t want to go forward with such a fight.

Xavier walking out leaves the door open to several possibilities: Woods could quit; he could be lured back to the group; Kofi Kingston and Big E could toughen up to show him they’re serious; or they could carry on as a duo. The fact that this is a little different than a typical breakup makes this better than the norm.
