5 Ups And Downs From WWE TLC 2014

5. The Champ Is (Almost) Here!

It€™s sad that one of the most exciting things about TLC was the announcement that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will defend his title at the Royal Rumble. Lesnar last defended his title at Night of Champions, which means that 18 weeks will have passed between title defenses. That€™s 126 days, more than one-third of a year. That is an utter embarrassment when you consider that Daniel Bryan was stripped of the same title after less than 40 days of not defending it. Having said that, it was always widely expected that Lesnar would defend the title at Royal Rumble, one of the €œBig Four€ WWE PPVs. Now that it€™s set in stone, there actually is a top prize to fight over. Sure, it€™s going to be John Cena once again getting the title match, but at least WWE€™s top title will actually be featured on its programming once again.
