5 WWE Superstar Relations That Crashed And Burned In NXT
Success doesn't always run in the family.
Since its inception in mid-2012, WWE's developmental brand, NXT, has been responsible for introducing a considerable amount of new wrestlers to audiences around the world. Many of these have made the step up to the company's main roster, where some have flourished and others have faltered. Others continue to thrive within the brand itself, which has become a global phenomenon over the last couple of years as a result of the high quality of wrestling and storytelling it has offered. Wrestling is a family business, and many performers get started in the industry as a result of their familial connections, typically following in the footsteps of their fathers. A name alone does not make a star, however, and for every Ted DiBiase, The Rock or Randy Orton there are countless Horace Hogans or Tiger Ali Singhs. Coming in on the back of a brother or sister's success is much rarer as the majority of successful siblings initially entered the industry together as tag team performers, but it isn't completely unheard of. A number of individuals, related to either current main roster talents or company legends, attempted to trade on their connections through NXT in its early days, albeit using different surnames so as to not make the relation immediately obvious.
