5 WWE Superstars Becky Lynch MUST Face In 2020

The Man has dominated WWE - but Straight Fire can't afford to fizzle out...

Becky Lynch's rise to stardom in WWE has been unexpected.

Nobody could have anticipated that The Man would not only break free from the shadow of Charlotte Flair and climb her way to the top of the WWE ladder, but that climb would also take her straight to the main event of WrestleMania. Getting herself over with the fans using pure charisma and excellent promo skills, Lynch has all the qualities of a rebellious Stone Cold Steve Austin style tweener.

But if Lynch is going to continue her run of straight fire then she absolutely can't afford to lose steam heading into 2020. Her feud with Charlotte Flair has seen the two deliver formidable matches at Evolution and TLC, a far cry from her 2016 run as Flair's gullible babyface bestie. For The Man to continue to dominate though, she needs new competition.

As great as their feud has been, nobody wants to see Charlotte vs. Becky outstay their welcome much like the 2017 Charlotte vs. Sasha feud. With a plethora of talent in the locker room and the women's division more popular than ever, it's time for The Man to break new records - and new arms.

5. Nikki Cross

Nobody pulls off a 'crazy-chick' gimmick quite like Nikki Cross.

It's a route WWE have gone down plenty of times before, with AJ Lee, Alicia Fox and even Paige's shaky 2014 heel run. No other superstar has quite managed the level of intensity that Cross displays, however. This makes her a perfect foil for badass babyface Becky Lynch. Both women are capable on the mic and even more capable in the ring, having put on exceptional Last Woman Standing matches against Asuka and Charlotte Flair respectively.

Cross is currently involved in an angle with Alexa Bliss which may or may not see the duo compete for tag team gold, but it's a waste of Cross' potential to keep her in the shadow of The Goddess for too long. WWE could pursue a story-line which sees Cross turn on Bliss before setting her sights on Becky Lynch's Raw Women's Championship. Alternatively Lynch could become a sort of mentor to the Twisted Sister of NXT, making a future feud between the two even more significant.
