The Road to WrestleMania starts here...
Nearly a week has passed since the 2019 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, a thrilling night which saw titles defended, new champions crowned, and two superstars punch their ticket for WrestleMania 35.
The main story that came out of the night was Becky Lynch's unbelievable evening. Forced to submit to Asuka in the opening match for the SmackDown Women's Championship, she returned to the ring later to take an injured Lana's spot in the Women's Royal Rumble match.
It came down to Lynch, Nia Jax & Charlotte Flair for the opportunity to headline WrestleMania. After Lynch pulled Jax from the apron, The Irresistible Force attacked The Man, injuring her knee and seemingly handing the win to Flair. However, against all odds, Becky Lynch eliminated Charlotte Flair and will face Ronda Rousey (who earlier retained the Raw Women's Championship against Sasha Banks) at The Show of Shows.
Seth Rollins last eliminated Braun Strowman to win a highly competitive Men's Royal Rumble match and subsequently challenged Brock Lesnar for 'Mania, after The Beast defeated challenger Finn Balor to remain Universal Champion.
There was a shock title change as The Miz & Shane McMahon overcame The Bar to be crowned SmackDown Tag Team Champions, and another shock in the WWE Championship match, which saw Erick Rowan interfere to hand Daniel Bryan the win over AJ Styles.
