6 AEW Fight For The Fallen Predictions You Need To Know

1. AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Brian Cage

The FTW Championship is an important component of this match. It isn't on the line, though it stands as a symbol of Taz's pro-wrestling mindset. This isn't a conventional prize but a manifestation of the them-and-us mentality that defined the ECW legend for much of his career. His character always excelled when his back was against the wall and he felt like he was being undermined, so the FTW Championship's presence on Brian Cage's shoulder forecasts this result somewhat.

Cage is going to lose - but not decisively. It'll be a debatable defeat. Whether that means passing out to a submission or the first true high-level f*ck finish in AEW history remains to be seen, though it'll be something that Cage and Taz can work with. Their FTW attitude will only be enhanced if it goes down this way.

Stylistically, this thing is fascinating. The disappointing Jake Hager match aside (nothing to do with Mox, we should add), AEW's World Champion has excelled in every big spot, while Cage has looked tremendous in squash victories against overmatched opponents. How will his videogame moves mesh with Moxley's character-filled brawling? We can't wait to find out.

Winner: Jon Moxley
