The resurrection of the National Wrestling Alliance has been a sight to behold.

Since Billy Corgan's acquisition in 2017, the company has seen a resurgence in popularity and recently celebrated reaching 200,000 subscribers on YouTube. The 70th Anniversary Show in 2018 and the 'Ten Pounds of Gold' documentary series both did wonders for the NWA and helped it to become a meaningful, prestigious brand once more.

However in these unprecedented times, a spanner has been thrown in the works for not just NWA, but the wrestling industry as a whole, forcing companies to resort to different tactics to keep their fans entertained. This led to the NWA uploading a special edition of Powerrr, running for an hour-and-a-half of noteworthy developments.

This show, Super Powerrr, included a star-studded group of talent from the men's, women's and tag team divisions with names such as Nick Aldis, Tim Storm, Rock 'n Roll Express, Thunder Rosa and more. A handful of stars also made the jump across from Ring of Honor for this particular NWA taping.

Let's count the top moments from this special show, as the NWA closed Powerrr's third season on a high...

In the second segment of the show orientated around the women's division, Melina was invited ringside to the interview area and asked why she thinks she should challenge the champion, Thunder Rosa. Melina cut a great promo, drawing heat from the crowd and throwing shady remarks in the directions of her divisional counterparts before former champ, Allysin Kay, also came ringside.

Kay and Melina had a heated exchanging of words before the figurehead herself, Thunder Rosa, interrupted and issued a huge challenge. She said as both felt they deserved a title match, then they would both get a title opportunity at the same time. Thunder Rosa issued the challenge of a three-way for the title to both Allysin Kay and Melina, with both competitors accepting.

The storyline between these athletes has been built perfectly, with Thunder Rosa beating Allysin Kay to become Women's Champion, while also being the former prodigy of Melina. All-in-all this was a strong promo from all parties involved. Melina looked like a calculating, entitled heel, Thunder Rosa came across as a strong, fighting champion while Allysin Kay seemed humble but fiery as the fan favourite challenger.
