6 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dark (Mar 17)

AEW's B-show levels up with a light, fun, comedy-heavy show.

Shows like this require a dialogue on the Ups and Downs format.

"6 Ups & 0 Downs" gives the impression of a spectacular show, because why would it be anything but that with such a ratio? Because nothing on this show was outstanding in and of itself, is why. Everything on Dark ranged from decent to very good. Nothing was bad, per se, and while not every viewer will have been into the comedy found in the first two bouts, it's hard to earnestly criticise them without getting overly subjective.

Dark's centrepiece match was Christopher Daniels vs. Stu Grayson, continuing the ongoing SoCal Uncensored vs. Dark Order feud ahead of The Exalted One's reveal on tonight's episode of Dynamite, with CD still insisting the mysterious figure doesn't actually exist. Elsewhere, we got Colt Cabana's first one-on-one as he faced 'The Librarian' Peter Avalon, Riho looking to get back in the Women's World Title picture against Penelope Ford, and a tag team match pitting The Hybrid 2 against Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler.

Fun, light-hearted, and perfectly watchable, this was a good little episode of Dark with plenty for hardcore AEW fans to enjoy. Let's get into it...
