This column has been critical towards much of the thoughtless character work on this show, particularly when it comes to the p*ss-poor planning of the tag division.

Moustache Mountain's call-to-arms on Night One was an absurd creative blunder considering the problematic lack of competition, but Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster had their best night as a duo thanks to finally being pulled away from the dated and dreary Coffey brothers.

More than just an enjoyable encounter, this victory against makeshift pairing Joseph Conners and Saxon Huxley saw the latter pair's fragile union find a violent end. Conners brutalised Huxley in the aftermath as the Birmingham fans screamed "Judas" in his direction.

Considering the lack of build to his turn, the heat for this was legitimately impressive and should now kickstart Conners on the show as he plays catch-up with some of the bigger names that have already raced ahead.
