Props to WWE for producing this short video package. A handful of both NXT and NXT UK stars spoke of Meiko Satomura’s capture of the NXT UK Women’s Championship last Thursday, noting how important the win is and how she hasn’t missed a single step throughout her two decade-plus career.

Ember Moon, Xia Brookside, Dakota Kai, and Beth Phoenix all recognised how noteworthy a win this was for the Japanese legend, but stealing the segment were Amale and NXT Women’s Champion, Raquel Gonzalez.

Amale mentioned how Satomura took her spot in the gauntlet match to earn the title bout vs. Kay Lee Ray, and so she now has to steal something from ‘The Final Boss’. Gonzalez, meanwhile, pleaded for a match with Meiko at Survivor Series in November. Essentially, this set up Meiko’s potential first challenger in Amale and teased the return of NXT and debut of NXT UK as it pertains to Survivor Series.

Kudos to NXT UK for wasting no time with Meiko’s title reign. Pretty Deadly’s title run, for example, has been treading water sadly. They were commentating the main event this week for absolutely no reason. Satomura couldn’t possibly follow a similar route.
