6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (28 Oct - Results & Review)

1. The Little Details Count

Sami Zayn Jey Uso
WWE

Two segments made Raw essential to the wider Bloodline narrative.

Firstly, it was awesome to see Sami Zayn question why Jey Uso would willingly walk back into Roman's arms after everything he's been through. This was a true, '...but you've come so far on your own' speech from Sami. Jey cut Zayn deep by saying: "You wouldn't understand, because you're not family". Ouch!

This well-executed confrontation was followed by more storyline goodness towards the end of the night. Jimmy was looking for Sami ("I just want to talk to him") when he stumbled out into the parking lot and saw Zayn speaking with Solo Sikoa (who was in a car). Jey walked into view, and he was shook to see what was going on.

WWE presented every single one of these characters like real human beings with their own independent thoughts and feelings, and that deserves praise. Jey is torn between helping one side of the family fend off another, Sami is disappointed that Roman might win out of this in the end, Jimmy is right to roll his eyes at Jey's respect for Zayn, and Solo is meddling just because he can.

The Bloodline is still wrestling's best plot in October 2024.
