6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (21 Feb)

3. Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak?

Daniel Bryan Drew Gulak

For all the silliness WWE's gratuitous brawls provide, they often can't beat classic pro wrestling done well. That's why it's so exciting to think that Daniel Bryan might step between the ropes against the overlooked Drew Gulak at some point in the near future.

Dave Meltzer needs new pants after this tease.

Gulak's overbearing PowerPoint gimmick deserves more screen time, but it's his propensity to lock on holds and work some chain wrestling that should get some old-schoolers foaming at the mouth with glee. Against Bryan, the former Cruiserweight Champion will be in his element. Bring it on.

Daniel has wanted to work with Drew for a while now. He previously noted on Twitter last October that Gulak's "hard-nosed mat style" is something he loves, and he's probably been lobbying for a match with the ex-205 Live man.

It's worth saying this again. Bring it on.
