6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 2)

This was a bit of a nothing week for Bray Wyatt.

Whilst it's cool that he wasn't at Survivor Series (a third pay-per-view promo would've been too much), Bray really needed to feature heavily on SmackDown and drive his inner demon story forwards. He did show face, but his promo didn't do much to push the narrative forward at all.

Wyatt cut a meandering speech about LA Knight, then 'Uncle Howdy' stopped by for more of the same stuff fans have been watching since Extreme Rules. Is it worrying to consider the thought that Triple H and WWE didn't actually have much of a plan for Bray beyond 'cuts lots of poetic and/or cryptic promos' when he returned?

That's not enough. It was enough at first, but not two months deep. At this rate, WWE's writers won't have enough material to sustain interest in Bray all the way through to WrestleMania. Y'know, unless he pulls a Mick Foley and works as himself, the 'Eater Of Worlds' and 'The Fiend' come Royal Rumble.

Move this along, please.
