6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 5)

4. A Fist Bump Of Respect

Cesaro Daniel Bryan

Contradiction time.

Earlier, yours truly had a right good whinge about the thought of Bayley linking up with Billie Kay as a short-term women's tag-team. Now, that same fella' is going to retract any hatred of random duos because Daniel Bryan and Cesaro bumped fists after their singles bout. Imagine that, eh?

What's the difference then? Well, for one, the female tag division sucks. Two, can you just imagine what kind of matches Cesaro and Daniel Bryan could have as a unit? It'd be like the old Kings Of Wrestling from ROH, only with DB in place of Chris Hero. That sounds damn tasty, to be honest.

WWE are building to something with Bryan, but it's not clear exactly what. His win-loss record is all over the place right now, and that has to be deliberate. This doesn't seem like 50/50 booking - it's part of a larger narrative. Next week should reveal all (again, more on that later).
