With Rhea Ripley winning the Raw Women’s Championship on Sunday, it’s clear WWE is positioning her as the next big star on the red brand, so it would make sense to have opponents lined up for her.

If that’s the case, then why did Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on Sunday night? It would have worked well to have them lose the titles to Natalya & Tamina, then turn their attention to their single’s pursuits, and the Raw title – and Ripley.

Also, the women’s tag “division” has been a joke for months, so putting the titles on someone different would have at least given the chance to reset things a bit and maybe change things up.

But we didn’t get that, so now if Baszler or Jax go for Rhea’s title, it would mean that the tag titles would be sidelined for a while. Not exactly what you should be going for here.
