6 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 6)
1. Six-Man Tag Match?
If this is indeed the case, color this writer intrigued.
Monday, events were set into motion that would result in a six-man tag match for Survivor Series between New Day and the Shield. Consider that Roman Reigns is not part of Team Raw for the elimination match, and Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose lost their tag titles due to New Day’s distraction on Raw.
That leaves three top Raw superstars with nothing to do at Survivor Series, while New Day also has an open dance card. If that match ends up booked in the coming days, it will be an interesting one, as the Shield boasts three former world champions who have all held secondary and tag gold as well, while New Day is the most successful tag team in WWE history (in terms of length of reigns).
On paper, it shouldn’t be much of a competition, but New Day’s individuals have long had breakout potential: Kofi Kingston and Big E are both former secondary title-holders, and Xavier Woods has had some nice moments in matches recently. It might be an easy bet to place, but it also might be a match of the night candidate.
