6 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 2)
1. There’s A PPV, Right?
This writer had to check the calendar to make sure, but TLC is less than two weeks away.
And do you know how many matches had been officially announced going into Raw? Zero. And how many were announced during Raw? ZERO.
That’s just insane. We already know that Brock Lesnar and the WWE Championship isn’t going to be featured, so we’re down a title. Becky Lynch hasn’t been on Raw since Survivor Series, so who knows if the Raw Women’s Championship will be defended. The Viking Raiders are just beating up jobbers right now, so there’s no top contender tag team identified yet.
You can figure that Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles will have a rematch for the United States Championship, and Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and the Authors of Pain will factor in somehow, but it’s all still really nebulous right now. And you’ve got to assume the Kabuki Warriors will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
But we also don’t know, nor is there any compelling reason for, any of these potential feuds to use tables, ladders or chairs.
And there’s one episode to pull all of this together for Raw’s half of the show. That’s just awful, and it’s going to just get thrown together in 180 minutes next week. You, match, with tables. You, match, with ladders. You, match, with chairs.
