6 Worst Handled Characters In WWE NXT History

4. Adam Rose

Within weeks of beginning to work for WWE the man who we see on WWE television today came to be known as Leo Kruger. Eventually settling on the character of a south african madman, Kruger formed an alliance with Kassius Ohno (more on him later) and sought the NXT Tag Team Championship. Unsucessful, the duo seemed to be going nowhere and soon after Kruger was repackaged as Adam Rose. Rose came to the ring flanked by a gaggle of other party goers and danced to a fun song. Rose got a fantastic response from the NXT audience and seemed to be on the way to stardom. That was until he was called up to Raw. From the start WWE Audiences did not know how to take the vignettes that aired to announce the upcoming debut of Rose. Vignettes are designed to introduce a character and make fans anticipate their arrival. Adam Rose does not fit this concept. He was never meant to be anything more than a fun distraction in the show. Once he debuted the Rosebuds (Adam's entourage) were now seen in the much, much larger venues he appeared in as paltry and the whole act was just lame. After a few weeks Rose became an absolute afterthought and stopped going out in front of the audience of the week. Now relegated to backstage segments that shamelessly shill the product of the week. There is no character that has fallen so far, so fast. Not appearing on a show has got to be better than this.
