Jericho's back in the WWE family as the host of Tough Enough every Tuesday and he's also working weekend live events as well. He said in the past he would come back to TV if there was some kind of meaningful angle for him. Perhaps a rivalry with somebody like Barrett would interest him. It's a shame that this feud hasn't happened yet because there are many reasons to do it. The main is that five years ago it was Jericho who was the NXT mentor of Barrett, who won the first season of NXT and was also the leader of the Nexus. Jericho stayed heel most of the time after that while Barrett was also a heel, so they didn't have a proper feud. Another important reason to do the feud is to actually give Barrett a significant rival that is a bigger star than a joke character like R-Truth. A serious feud for Barrett would be a whole lot better than what he's doing now and it might also legitimize his King of the Ring status as well. WWE has to invest in Barrett more than they currently are because if he keeps being booked like a joke then he's never going to main event performer that he should be.
