67-year-old Tully Blanchard will pull on his wrestling books and go to work on the 3 March episode of AEW Dynamiye.

As confirmed during last night's show, the veteran will team with allies FTR to face the Jurassic Express trio of Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy, and Marko Stunt. It'll be Blanchard's first official wrestling match since he faced AEW's Dustin Rhodes for the NWA back in August 2007.

This came about as a result of an angle following FTR's win over Matt and Mike Sydal on Dynamite. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were getting ready to cut Mike's hair, having snipped a horn from Luchasaurus' mask a few weeks ago, when the lights cut out and Jurassic made the save. The trio beat FTR down and ran them off to close, with the match announced soon after.

A mainstay of the National Wrestling Alliance throughout the '70s and '80s, Blanchard's high-level wrestling career petered out following his WWE release in late 1989, when he was cut after testing positive for cocaine. Widely regarded as one of the most sinister and effective heels of any era, he has been on AEW's books since arriving prior to Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears in July 2019.
