7 Facts About WWE Hardcore Title You Need To Know

1. Shawn Stasiak€™s Incredible Record

Perhaps the greatest fact in the history of the Hardcore Championship though is a unique record boasted by Shawn Stasiak. Once again, this one€™s the result of the 24/7 rule, as well as the aforementioned habit of having the belt change hands behind closed doors at House Shows. Those two factors combined to ensure that Stasiak managed to win the Hardcore title 15 times, though as a cumulative total he actually held the title for less than a single day. Stasiak never managed to leave a House Show with the belt around his waist. 15 reigns is the fifth-highest in Hardcore title history, though naturally a total of less than a day is simultaneously a joint-worst figure. Somehow, the obscene playing field of the Hardcore division enabled Stasiak to bizarrely go down as one of the best and worst champions in Hardcore title history. And more impressively still, that all went down in just over three months during the summer of 2002. The Hardcore Championship truly was one of the craziest innovations by the WWE, but at the same time one of the most entertaining. All of that is apparent in these crazy facts and figures that the title has thrown up, ensuring that for all its nonsense and zaniness, the Hardcore Championship will be remembered fondly by many a WWE fan for years to come.
