7 Ideas To Debut Tyler Breeze On WWE's Main Roster

The NXT star is on his way.

With the rumor surfacing that NXT standout Tyler Breeze is on his way to the main roster, the wrestling world is already abuzz at the possibilities for this talented young performer. Breeze is someone who combines excellent character work with solid in-ring performances, and it€™ll be exciting to see how he performs on the big stage. The interesting thing about Tyler Breeze is that he could easily be the next Adam Rose or the next Seth Rollins depending on how well he€™s booked. €œPrince Pretty€ is a character that must be handled delicately else it descends into comedy jobber territory like the aforementioned Rose. There€™s a role for those types of wrestlers in WWE, but we€™re sure Breeze and his fans would like to see more out of him than that. Does WWE have enough vested interest in Breeze to ensure that he€™s booked well enough that he€™s not sabotaged €“ either unintentionally through incompetence or purposely €“ or will he fall to the wayside like so many other wrestlers we€™ve had high hopes for?

7. Winning The US Open Challenge

WWE could easily follow the formula they€™ve used to debut other NXT talents such as Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens by having them oppose John Cena in a US Championship open challenge match. With Cena taking several months off from WWE, someone is going to have to take the title from him, and Tyler Breeze is as good a choice as anyone. It€™s a fresh matchup that we haven€™t seen that would allow Breeze to make an immediate impact. Booking someone over Cena in their first match is an easy way to get them noticed; it€™s the follow up that is so essential to maintaining that momentum. In the case of Owens, he started off strong right out of the gate and then once his feud with Cena ended he began to flounder. Part of the problem with that is there€™s really nowhere to go but down once you€™ve danced with WWE€™s top star, and if there€™s nothing planned for a subsequent program it can be the kiss of death. Bring Breeze in as a surprise challenger at Hell in a Cell or the Raw after, have him go over through nefarious means and then continue to defend the title until Cena returns for a proper blow-off.
