7 Times The Authority Actually Helped John Cena

Why should we care about this feud when Cena gets so many title shots?

Survivor Series is headlined by a five on five elimination tag match where Team Cena will battle with Team Authority. If Cena's team loses then his team members will be fired and if Team Authority loses then they will lose power. Looking back at this Cena/Authority issue, what's been obvious for the past year is that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon really haven't been that mean to Cena. In fact, they've actually been very forgiving and lenient towards a guy they supposedly don't like. Compare it to Daniel Bryan, who had to fight for months just to get a fair title shot at WrestleMania 30 and it's a completely different story. Does this mean that Cena is going to turn heel by joining The Authority? Absolutely not. This is merely an example of how inconsistent WWE booking is and has been during this entire storyline. It's something that frustrates WWE fans a lot. We hope that they realize this stuff when they book their angles, but sadly they do not. This is being written looking at things solely from a storyline perspective. It's all a commentary on whether or not this whole thing makes sense that Cena dislikes The Authority because when you factor in some of these events it just shows that WWE has done a poor job of really making this seem like a rivalry. It's an idea that actually came from a reader going by the name "Bob's Diner" so whoever he is, thanks for the idea. Here's a closer look at John Cena's feud with The Authority to see if the mean bosses have really been evil towards WWE's top guy.
