7 UFC Fighters Who Committed Horrific Crimes

1. Abel Trujillo

Abel Trujillo is an MMA veteran who had a total of eleven fights in the UFC. During his time with the promotion, the hard-hitting lightweight battled the likes of Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Outside the cage, Trujillo has had several run-ins with the law. Prior to signing with the UFC, in 2007 and 2009 respectively, the former college wrestler pleaded guilty to domestic abuse charges involving the mother of his child. This (understandably) made him a controversial figure during his time in the UFC, as the organization has been known to cut fighters for far less serious offenses.

However, Trujillo's legal troubles didn't stop there. According to USA Today, the lightweight was arrested last July and charged with sexual exploitation of a child and obscenity. Though it's unclear exactly what he did, the troubled fighter faces up to 18 months in prison for each charge.

Abel Trujillo last fought in December 2017.
