7 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dark (Mar 31)

6. *sshole vs. *sshole

Two cocky heels collided as Sammy Guevara met Matt Sells in the opener, with the duo spending the bulk of their short runtime trying to outdo each others' f*ckery.

Sammy was posing, preening, and showboating from the bell, prancing around the ring like a prize poodle, flexing his biceps, and nailing his top rope fakeout/slap routine. Sells bit back with mockery of his own, scoring a couple of near-falls. Guevara, however, was the superior athlete, outdoing an opponent who, per the narrative, was starting to blow up, dropping big bombs like a hanging Brainbuster, then eventually hitting an inverted Go To Sleep for the three.

A quick post-match promo saw Sammy put himself over as 'The Best Ever,' claim nobody could do what he does, and challenge anybody backstage to test him. He should be considered one of the favourites for the upcoming tourney.
