This week's episode of AEW Dark was a welcome break from the wider wrestling world.

The news cycle is relentless at the moment - and rightly so. #SpeakingOut is a necessary purge of the sport's most vile and repulsive elements. It deserves the biggest possible platform at the moment as abusive behaviour is exposed, voices are heard, and scumbags and criminals are exiled. Trying to remove it from the conversation is grossly irresponsible and those who aren't directly involved should use this time to listen, learn, apply empathy, and figure out what they can do to make this community a safer and more inclusive place.

But breathers are important, and Dark was just that, offering up 72 minutes of light, breezy content to transport worried fans' minds to another place for a while. This was a good, fun show and a clear step forward from the previous week.

Orange Cassidy, Lance Archer, Jurassic Express, Shawn Spears, and SoCal Uncensored were amongst the wrestlers highlighted against lesser opposition, while Brian Cage vs. Robert Anthony told a tidy little story and The Dark Order's 3 and 4 looked great against the rising Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss.

Let's light the fuse...
