Ruby Soho and Skye Blue have got underrated chemistry, and their latest coming together brought the best out of both in a match that was given welcome time and space to breathe at just under ten minutes.
Ruby working the knee made for a classic heel/babyface dynamic, particularly with The Outcasts pleasingly not really involved in this one to their usual degree. Toni Storm's interference early on was ineffective but fundamentally unnecessary too - Soho was at her wily veteran best no matter what upstart stuff Blue brought to the table.
Both kept at their game plans - a game Blue fighting through the pain just to get back into the ring, a driven Soho inflicted more to stop her and beat her. Skye eating No Future as her time in the tournament came to an end was creatively cruel, but she increasingly looks like one of the division's best discoveries in years.
