A smidgin of the old CM Punk escaped during 'The Straight Edge Superstar's hilarious verbal takedown of Tom Arnold in his first try on the yet-again-entertaining Social Media SmackDown show closer.
This spot shouldn't be anywhere near as good as it is - from Renee Young talking about "that Fox money" on Week One in response to critics of her commentary to Punk incinerating the former Mr Roseanne Barr and Seth Rollins in one go-home line, the segment yet again delivered big laughs and a big finish for the broadcast.
Punk can't be relied upon to drop these baby bombs once a week of course, but as a cherry on top for his first episode of the show, this was a wonderful taste of what else remains within the returning firebrand.
