7 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Nov 19)

Downs...

3. Half Moon

Ember Moon Paige
WWE

There was an uneasy sense of foreboding as Renee Young introduced guest host Ember Moon, not least because of the huge surgical boot on her right foot.

Like every performer to sit in the third chair so far, Ember was a welcome and enjoyable presence on the show, but the conversation over her rehabilitation was vague to the point of mild panic - was the prognosis of her ruptured and torn achilles really keeping her out for "four months, to a year and a half, or eight months or nine months" or perhaps even longer?

Moon is a big miss to the main roster but was affable and insightful here. Behind a microphone in some capacity could be a space for her to shine until she (hopefully) makes a more physical return, but the lack of clarity on the matter was as disheartening to hear as it presumably felt having to discuss.
