3. Slaying The Nigerian Giant

Hats off to Seth Rollins for not only picking up a big win on Saturday, but also for pulling off a really fun Davis versus Goliath match against Omos.

Without much of an angle aside from MVP requesting the match to test the Nigerian Giant, this really was a spectacle match pitting the Grand Slam champion against the biggest man on the roster. As you might expect, Omos dominated early on, jumping Rollins while fans were serenading him and running over the Visionary.

But Rollins kept coming, dropkicking Omos’ knee and superkicking the giant. An early stomp attempt was blocked, and then Omos kicked out of back-to-back stomps, only for Rollins to hit a leaping stomp off the top to finally fell the big man.

If Rollins is indeed a top contender for the new World Heavyweight Championship, losing here wouldn’t have been the best, though it could have worked. Still, there’s nothing wrong with a multi-time world champion figuring out how to defeat a man literally twice his size.
