7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (Sept 5)

2. Damage Control Revels In Victory

Really, there wasn’t much for Damage Control to do Monday night beyond bask in their victory at Clash at the Castle. Dakota Kai said it best: They just beat the best the roster had to offer – three decorated champions – so what chance did the rest of the roster have?

Bayley naturally parlayed her pinfall victory over Bianca Belair (the first time the EST had been pinned in 300+ days) into cachet for herself, presumably setting the table for a Raw Women’s Championship match.

This also brought Belair out for a confrontation where she owned the loss, but noted that it took all three members of Damage Control to put her down. (See? That’s how you manage to get everyone over and look strong!)

It’s also worth noting that Kai and Iyo Sky pointed out that they will get a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship next week, with Dakota noting that she wasn’t the legal person when she was pinned last week, so at least they’re acknowledging that and rolling it into the story.
