There was something...sweet about the business-bedraggled bodies of Sabu, The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer joining Rob Van Dam on the 'Grandest Stage' for their eight-man victory over ECW's New Breed.

Revamped brand pretenders Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, Marcus Cor Von and Matt Striker were no match for the old guard on this night at least, even if they spent every other week gradually booting them off of the brand the elders helped establish a decade earlier.

All-in-all, this was a charitable and pleasant gesture from Vince McMahon on his 'Grandest Stage'. Where was that on their own pay-per-view?!
